Job Description:

As a vital member of our hospitality team, the Director of Engineering plays a key role in providing strategic leadership and management for the hotel's maintenance department. This position is responsible for developing and implementing impactful strategies that enhance the overall performance of the department.Key Components of the role will include:

• Develop and lead the execution of the engineering operating strategy aligned with PCH's business goals by championing brand initiatives, ensuring their implementation, and communicating follow-up actions to the engineering team.
• Foster ongoing communication in all areas of engineering, consistently conveying clear departmental goals to produce desired results.
• Stay updated on new engineering products and trends in the market and introduce innovative ideas to the leadership team to keep the property competitive.
• Collaborate with direct reports to review in-house business and troubleshoot potential challenges and conflicts.
• Develop a long-term plan for preventative maintenance and a ten-year asset protection plan, overseeing their execution.
• Ensure compliance with state, local, and federal regulations.
• Develop project plans for renovations and new construction needs by contacting contractors for bids and supervising construction to ensure the timely completion of projects within budgetary guidelines.
• Set goals and expectations for direct reports and conduct annual performance appraisals with direct reports according to SOPs.
