Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Job Specialty: RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) Job Duration: 14 Weeks Shift: Day 3x12-Hour (06:30 - 19:00) Guaranteed Hours: N/A Experience: 1 year (Unit accepts first-time travelers) License: GA or Compact license must be in hand at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS Must-Have: Airway & vent management, ABGs, O2 therapy, Suction, pulmonary toileting, nebulizer, CPAP/BiPAP Job Description: - Work every other weekend. - Compliance is required to start on time; non-compliance may result in a 2-week delay due to bi-weekly orientation schedule. - Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays if needed. - Floating within the facility and to sister campus if needed. - Responsible for managing a patient population ranging from infants to geriatrics in Adult Respiratory Therapy. - Utilize EPIC system for unit operations. - Provide airway and ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and conduct arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis. - Perform suction procedures and pulmonary toileting. - Operate nebulizer and CPAP/BiPAP devices. - Module hours are completed during orientation, which includes 13 non-billable hours recorded via transcripts.
