The Work You Will Do:
ENVIRONMENTAL SUPERVISOR IV-SES (37002534)
Organization: Deep Water Horizon Program, within the Division of
Water Restoration Assistance
Serve as technical advisor and manager for restoration activities
funded through the RESTORE Act because of the Deepwater Horizon Oil
Spill. Your role is grant manager and project manager for 10
federal awards and at least 17 funding agreements with local and
state entities. You will monitor and manage federally funded awards
for restoration activities and prepare and submit federal financial
and performance reports. You will monitor and manage all aspects of
grant agreements which subaward funds to project implementors. You
will assist the administrator with Florida RESTORE program
development, including coordination with subject matter experts,
RESTORE Council Members and staff, and stakeholders to prepare the
Department's funding proposals. You will also facilitate the review
and selection of project proposals for restoration activities
submitted by project implementors. Supervise staff who are
responsible for financial and grant management activities
associated the administration and management of Deepwater Horizon
oil spill programs. This includes personnel and payroll tasks.

Your Specific Responsibilities:
This is a professional supervisory position. The incumbent is
responsible for directing and supervising Program staff who is
responsible for developing and implementing policies for the
administration and management of Deepwater Horizon oil spill
programs. This includes personnel and payroll tasks, monitoring
work performance of direct reports, reviewing timesheets and leave
requests, and effectively communicate, motivate, and train
subordinates.
Position is responsible for developing and implementing policies
and programs for the administration and management of Deepwater
Horizon oil spill programs in the State of Florida. This position
works with the Governor's appointed representative to the Gulf
Coast Ecosystem Restoration Council (RESTORE Council) and Natural
Resource Damage Assessment Trustee to fulfill Florida's legal
obligations and efforts to restore the Gulf of Mexico and
associated watersheds. This includes evaluating and developing
Florida projects for potential funding through civil,
administrative, and natural resource damage claims associated with
the Deepwater Horizon oil spill.
Position will act as liaison for the Department at all levels of
state, federal, local governments, stakeholder groups and other
interested parties on Deepwater Horizon restoration efforts.
Appropriately represents the Department before the RESTORE Council.
This position is responsible for project and grant management of
federal awards and related subrecipient grants associated with
Resources and Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourist Opportunities, and
Revived Economies of the Gulf Coast States Act (RESTORE) funding.
Furthermore, this position is responsible for ensuring the
completion of all applicable environmental compliance consultations
with the appropriate federal agencies.
